PENANG: Founder of real-estate development company GCG Estate, Darren Yaw Foo Hoe announced the launching of a new sustainable hotel in the outskirts of Selangor, Malaysia in an official announcement. The launching event took place online with invited guests being investors and GCG Estate stakeholders from across Singapore, Cambodia, and Indonesia. There were a total of 100 attendees who attended the launch which began with a speech by Darren Yaw Foo Hoe's official speech as GCG Estate’s CEO.
GCG Estate, under the supervision of CEO Darren Yaw Foo Hoe, is a real estate company that buys, sells, and rents properties. GCG Estate also offers properties for investment purposes in Malaysia. Darren Yaw Foo Hoe services are aimed at helping anyone interested in buying their property. There are a total of 3,000 real estate agents who are working here as promoters to the public. GCG Estate by Darren Yaw Foo Hoe is a well-known boutique developer that always focuses on providing sustainable returns for its customers and clients. This aligns with their mission and vision in the company to provide most of the sustainable needs for tourists and travelers to deliver the importance of sustaining nature.
Darren Yaw Foo Hoe highlighted that a sustainable hotel encompasses the same goals of the sustainable tourism concept which is a development that meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations. This means that there will be no harm to nature with any future developments. Sustainable tourism starts with the recognition of the potential impacts of the boom from mass tourism in Malaysia. The development of green projects and technology help to grow the sustainable needs of tourism.
“The reason we decided to come up with sustainable hotels in this pristine jungle in Selangor is that we wanted to preserve the unique beauty of this space. Malaysia’s natural beauty has a lot to offer. However, this does not mean that we are doing any harm to the jungle. We preserve and protect. Our prime aim is to show to our customers and clients the importance of keeping nature at its real course to enjoy the beauty within. This new project will help us in GCG Estate to increase the leap of becoming Malaysia’s first green property.” said Darren Yaw Foo Hoe of GCG Estate.
The total investments raised to develop the hotels is a substantial sum. Investors and stakeholders from across Asia have teamed up to increase the size of the fund. Darren Yaw Foo Hoe explained that he drew on his own capital trust investment profile for initial capital, and subsequently was able to raise more through his network.
“As one of the investors in this project, I am overwhelmed to observe the advanced green technologies and approaches that will be used to build this new hotel. I am excited to see the future of this development as I am very confident in its prospects. Thank you Darren Yaw Foo Hoe.” said Mr. Paxton Daniel, of Guardian Capital Corp, an investor in the project, through a news update.
Darren Yaw Foo Hoe mentioned the reason GCG Estate chose Selangor as the development place because it is located close to the city centre. Pre-pandemic there are more tourists in Selangor and Kuala Lumpur than people in the other parts of Malaysia. The density of the people is one of the possibilities that will help sustainable hotels to be known across Malaysia. Darren Yaw Foo Hoe believes that this will also help with the recognition in the future.
“In GCG Estate, we hope that this project will become a successful breakthrough for everyone here. It might not be easy to maintain a sustainable hotel in the jungle, but it is worth it. I would like to express my deepest gratitude to everyone who has participated in the fund to develop our new project. We will be having more sustainable hotel developments in the future with more advanced approaches,” said Darren Yaw Foo Hoe. He added that more property developments are to be expected in Singapore, Cambodia, and Indonesia in the near future.
