UEM Edgenta implements nationwide Covid-19 screening for the company’s 3,755 essential front liners

UEM Edgenta Berhad (“UEM Edgenta” or “Company”), the region’s leading Asset Management and Infrastructure Solutions company, has rolled-out a COVID-19 screening programme for all of its essential front liners nationwide. The programme is part of the Company’s corporate responsibility towards employees, clients and other key stakeholders, and will provide added assurance that the services delivered by the Company are in line with current health and safety protocols.

On recent reports of hospital cleaners being identified as early recipients of the COVID-19 vaccine, which was mentioned by YB Khairy Jamaluddin, Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation Malaysia (“MOSTI”), who also heads the National COVID-19 Immunisation Task Force, Syahrunizam said, “All Malaysians are excited with the arrival of the COVID-19 vaccine, including us. We welcome the good news that our very own employees in the Healthcare Support business could be among the first to receive the vaccine. Nevertheless, our screening programme nationwide will continue as we utilise every available resource in our arsenal to win in this battle of attrition against the coronavirus.”

UEM Edgenta offers drive-through and on-site COVID-19 screening services which is approved by the Ministry of Health Malaysia (“MoH”).
