Malaysia Youth Leaders Assembly 2020

Malaysia Youth Leaders Assembly 2020 (MYLA2020) is a platform for youth leaders to discuss important agendas in Malaysia. In line with the empowerment of youths, MYLA2020 is an important platform to give space for the youth involved in developing Malaysia.

MYLA2020 is a conference organised by the Malaysian Youth Parliament that will take place virtually on 25th August 2020 from 8.00 am until 8.00 pm. This program will be officiated by The Most Honourable Tan Sri Muhyiddin bin Haji Muhammad Yassin; Prime Minister of Malaysia. The closing ceremony will be officiated by The Most Honourable Datuk Ir. Haji Hasni bin Haji Mohammad; Chief Minister of Johor. A total of 16 topics will be discussed and will feature 53 speakers. Among the clusters discussed are the economy, entrepreneurship, human capital, industrial transformation, food security, cybersecurity, education, environment, human rights, youth activism, politics, women's empowerment, tourism, international relations, mental health and unity.

For the inaugural program, a total of 50 local and foreign youth movements will be strategic partners for the success of MYLA2020. This shows that the youth agenda is increasingly seen in our country and the voice of youth needs to be centred for the progress of our country. MYLA2020 is targetting the involvement of 1600 youths nationwide and also aims to break Malaysia Book of Records for The Most Conference Panel In 12 Hours.

MYLA2020 will be the focal point of Youth Incited Operations in Malaysia. We shall be one of the main pillars that would bring forward the first Pro-Youth Nation in the Global World. Among the mindset brought are:

i) Reiterates the importance of youth participation by urging for the inclusive representation of young people.

ii) Support youth to create positive change towards more inclusive, fair and sustainable communities.

iii) Inspire and empower leaders across organisations to make a difference and take action as changemakers.

iv) Showcases how the young leaders are making an impact across the sector as well as offering capacity development.

v) Develop and foster collaboration to create a better future together.

vi) Balancing out Malaysia’s social governance.
